The NE556 is a dual precision timer IC from the “Other Series,” integrating two independent NE555 timer circuits within a single package for enhanced timing control, oscillation, and pulse generation applications. Built using reliable bipolar (BJT) technology, it delivers stable timing accuracy, low drift performance, and consistent operation in both simple and complex electronic systems.

Operating over a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 16V, the NE556 provides excellent design flexibility compared to lower-voltage timing ICs.
