MT7939 Primary Side Control AC-DC LED Driver IC
The MT7939 is a single-stage, primary-side controlled AC-DC LED driver IC with integrated active power factor correction (PFC). Designed to operate in critical conduction mode (CRM), it ensures high power factor, reduced switching losses, and improved energy efficiency.
With its innovative control technique, MT7939 delivers precise LED current regulation without requiring a secondary-side sense resistor or optocoupler feedback, simplifying design and reducing system cost.
The IC integrates comprehensive protection features, including input over/under voltage, over-current (OCP), output over-voltage (OVP), short-circuit (SCP), and over-temperature regulation (OTR). Additionally, it offers a TADJ thermal regulation pin, allowing designers to flexibly set the thermal threshold with an external resistor.
