Description
The MM3474 series from Mitsumi Electric is a high-reliability battery protection IC designed for lithium-ion and lithium-polymer secondary batteries. It provides integrated overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection for enhanced battery safety.
Supporting 3 to 5 series-connected cells, the number of cells can be easily configured through the SEL terminal. For larger packs, the MM3474 series allows cascade connection, enabling protection of 6 or more serial cells.
The IC also offers dedicated control terminals for output overdischarge detection (SDC) and output overcharge detection (SOC), reducing the need for additional external circuitry in multi-cell applications.
