The KS8081RNBIA-TR is a compact, single-supply 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet PHY transceiver from Microchip Technology, designed for reliable data transmission and reception over standard CAT-5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables.

Featuring RMII (Reduced Media Independent Interface) for direct connectivity to RMII-compliant Ethernet MAC processors and switches, this highly integrated solution reduces PCB complexity with on-chip termination resistors and an integrated low-noise regulator for the 1.2V core.

Key features include diagnostic tools such as LinkMD® TDR-based cable diagnostics and parametric NAND tree support for fault detection, ensuring easy system bring-up and robust network performance. The device operates with a 25 MHz crystal and provides a 50 MHz RMII reference clock output.
