The HLF LM3914 (DIP18) is a monolithic analog display driver that drives 10 LEDs, LCDs, or vacuum fluorescent displays in either dot or bar mode, depending on user selection. It senses analog voltage levels and linearly drives LEDs to represent the input voltage, providing a simple and accurate visual indication of signal level without requiring a microcontroller.
The device includes an adjustable reference and a built-in voltage divider, allowing flexibility for various voltage ranges. It’s ideal for VU meters, battery indicators, and other analog level display applications.
