The HIP4082 is a medium-frequency, medium-voltage H-Bridge N-Channel MOSFET driver IC, available in 16-lead SOIC (N) and DIP packages. It is specifically designed for PWM motor control, UPS, and other bridge-based applications, offering flexible control and compact design.

Operating up to 80V, the HIP4082 provides an excellent balance of performance and cost for moderate power-level systems. Similar to the HIP4081, it features a flexible input protocol that enables all valid switch combinations while preventing shoot-through conditions.

With a programmable dead time range of 0.1 µs to 4.5 µs, the device supports switching frequencies up to 200 kHz. While it omits an internal charge pump, it includes non-latching level-shift translation for reliable control of the upper drive circuits.

This optimized feature set makes the HIP4082 ideal for compact and cost-sensitive designs requiring robust H-bridge control. For applications demanding higher drive capability, the HIP4080A and HIP4081A are recommended alternatives.
