The CD4028 is a high-performance BCD-to-decimal decoder IC from the CD4XXX CMOS logic family, designed for efficient digital decoding and display control in electronic systems. Built using advanced CMOS technology, it delivers ultra-low power consumption, high noise immunity, and stable switching performance, ensuring reliable operation in a wide range of industrial and embedded applications.

Operating over a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 15V, the CD4028 provides excellent design flexibility compared to lower-voltage logic families. This wide operating range allows seamless integration into battery-powered circuits as well as standard 5V and 12V logic systems. Its CMOS architecture ensures minimal static power dissipation while maintaining accurate decoding and fast logic response.

The device converts a 4-bit BCD input into 10 decoded decimal outputs, making it ideal for driving display systems, indicators, and sequential control applications. Its optimized internal structure reduces external component count, improves circuit efficiency, and enhances overall system reliability.

The CD4028 also ensures low thermal generation and long-term stable performance, even in continuous operation environments.

Available in both DIP and SOP package types, it offers flexible integration for prototyping, PCB layout optimization, and scalable production designs.
